Gloom Datasets
GPU prices, supply chains, hiring and attention signals alongside filings, macro, news and market data. One paid REST API. Every value cited.
What it is
Gloom Datasets serves the data Gloom stores to your own systems over REST. It is a separate product with its own site, keys and plans, billed separately from Gloom Cloud. The app does not need it.
Every dataset call returns data and meta. meta names the dataset and its sources, with attribution and usage terms, plus asOf, historyStarts, coverage and lastUpdated. A value the stored data cannot establish is null.
Datasets
- Alternative data: GPU rental prices, supply chain, hiring postings and momentum, social mentions, app attention, power and grid, perpetuals, catalysts and litigation, research attention, congressional trades, operating exposure.
- Filings and company text: KPIs and guidance, executive pay, risk factors, 8-K events, transcripts, credit documents, debt maturities, revenue breakdown, SEC filings, insiders and 13F, document search.
- News: Real-time stories, sources and topics.
- Macro and positioning: CPI, EIA inventories, COT, yield curves and macro series, central bank rates, short volume and interest, CDS, government awards.
- Market data and fundamentals: Quotes and history, financial statements, statistics, profiles, earnings, estimates, IPOs, M&A, screener, options and gamma positioning, futures, rate path, crypto, session tape.
See the full dataset reference for routes, parameters, examples and credits.
The base URL is https://api.gloom.sh/v1. /v1/datasets lists served datasets, /v1/datasets/cost prices a call, and /v1/datasets/{dataset}/sample returns a static example. The reference labels illustrative values or trimmed real output. None needs a key.
Keys
Gloom Datasets keys start with gds_. They come with a plan and are created in the console. Send one as Authorization: Bearer gds_... or x-api-key.
They are different keys from the Gloom API's. A Gloom Pro key (gloom_mcp_) or a News API key (gloom_news_) gets 401 wrong_key on a dataset route, and a gds_ key gets 401 on the Gloom API's own routes, such as the REST API, but reads the News API at no credit cost.
Plans
Paid plans only: an account without a plan has no key.
| Plan | Price |
|---|---|
| Basic | $200/month |
| Desk | $800/month |
| Enterprise | From $2,000/month |
Enterprise is an annual contract. Basic and Desk are also sold yearly at ten months' price.
Each call spends credits from the plan; the X-Credits-Cost and X-Credits-Remaining headers say what it cost and what is left.
Credits, rate limits, usage rights and the founding offer (40% off Basic and Desk for 12 months, for the first 100 paid accounts until December 4, 2026) are on Pricing.
