Hiring momentum and app attention

HIRE and APPS: observed hiring, app ranks, ratings, company comparisons and source evidence.

HIRE NET opens company hiring momentum. APPS META opens app attention for a listed parent; either command without a ticker opens its board. Both are Pro functions with a limited free preview. DES links to both views, and EQS includes their screening fields.

Hiring momentum

HIRE retains the first successful observation in each UTC week from supported public careers systems, with corrections to that observation preserved. Table shows roles; Chart shows observed history; Mix separates role family, seniority, location and remote status; Peers compares covered companies; Evidence opens the retained source observation. The rolling history covers 52 weeks.

Adds and removals require comparable complete sources in consecutive weeks. Initial captures, gaps, source changes and incomplete boards have unknown changes. Surge/contraction signals require enough measured history and a nonzero baseline variance. A contraction is not a verified hiring freeze. Newly observed hiring locations do not prove that a company opened an office.

Counts measure requisitions, not people hired or employee headcount. Multi-location roles count once. Remote share uses roles with known work arrangements; a city alone does not establish on-site work. Unknown classifications and countries remain visible. Non-US company symbols retain an exchange, such as HIRE ADYEN:AMS. Local listing suffixes resolve to the same identity: 005930.KS and 005930:KRX, 6758.T and 6758:TSE, 0700.HK and 0700:HKEX, and 2330.TW and 2330:TWSE. A conflicting explicit venue stays unresolved. Identifier support does not imply hiring or app observations exist for that company.

App attention

APPS combines public free/paid App Store charts and permitted Google Play public rating data. Select a storefront and chart to compare like-for-like ranks. Enter on an app opens its own rank/rating history, with country/chart identity and retained evidence. The parent-company Chart, Markets and Peers tabs show aggregate observations and cross-country spreads.

Lower ranks are better. Positive velocity means a matched app improved its rank; it does not estimate downloads, installs or revenue. A rank missing from a successfully captured chart is unknown outside that chart's depth. Missing collection dates are gaps. Averages can change when the captured cohort changes.

Apple ratings counts are not written reviews. Play detail ratings use a global scope because display locale does not establish the population being rated. Play has no public chart feed in this integration. Grossing charts and genre-specific ranks are unavailable; app genres are metadata. The official Apps feeds do not establish gaming-chart coverage. Daily source observations are retained for 730 days.

Coverage and evidence

The services capture only keyless public sources under their rate limits and access policies. Configured countries and companies are distinct from successful observations. History starts when capture is enabled; historic trends are never filled with invented points. The collecting-history state is expected until enough real observations accumulate.

Each retained observation includes its source, timestamp, units, revision and confidence. Known publisher identifiers and exact reviewed ownership mappings connect apps and employers to listed parents; unresolved and private publishers remain unmapped. Historical observations retain their mapping evidence when later corrections arrive. Company and peer labels use the parent name from that observation's reviewed mapping, not the app or developer brand. A ticker remains the fallback when a parent name is unavailable.

REST coverage is available at /cloud/hiring/coverage and /cloud/app-attention/coverage. Company routes are /cloud/hiring/:symbol and /cloud/app-attention/:symbol; per-app rank history is /cloud/app-attention/app/:store/:appId. Paginated results include their continuation. MCP exposes hiring.momentum, apps.attention and apps.rank_history to Pro accounts with the same source provenance.
