Install Gloomberb: Mac, Windows, Linux, TUI

Install the Gloomberb desktop app on Mac or Windows, or run it in any terminal with one curl command. Then update it and confirm it runs.

macOS

Either command installs the desktop app and the gloomberb terminal command.

Or use the direct download.

The desktop app is Apple Silicon only. On an Intel Mac the script installs the terminal app instead, and the cask refuses to install. term.gloom.sh works on any Mac with a free Gloom Cloud account, with fewer features.

Linux

Terminal UI only; Ghostty, Kitty, or WezTerm render charts best. Installs gloomberb into ~/.local/bin.

Windows

The desktop installer includes the terminal command. Windows 11 x64; ARM runs the x64 build under emulation.

Terminal only, on any platform with Bun:

Check it works

gloomberb opens the terminal UI. doctor checks config, the cache database, loaded plugins, and capabilities.

Update

Install	Update
Terminal app	Updates itself; `u` retries a failed update.
Desktop app	Updates itself; `Check for Updates` in the menu or command bar checks now.
Homebrew	`brew upgrade --cask gloomberb`
Bun	`bun install -g gloomberb@latest`
